2026 – 2031
Hope Charity Medicare has signed a Five (5) years Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Amolatar District local government to promote maternal and newborn child health services through community health outreach, dialogue and sensitization.
We work with Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs) and Village Health Teams (VHTs) to ensure every pregnant woman is empowered with basic knowledge about pregnancy, has greater access to Antenatal care, safe facility delivery, and life-saving emergency obstetric care when needed.
Every pregnant woman visiting our facilities receives quality care throughout pregnancy and basic nutrition education for pregnant and postnatal mothers.
We promote exclusive breastfeeding for infants for the first 6 months of life and continued breastfeeding with complementary feeding up to at least 24 months.
Our programs include community growth monitoring, training on protein and calorie-rich local weaning diets, mass de-worming, and community-based nutrition rehabilitation for children with mild to moderate malnutrition. Children with severe malnutrition are referred to therapeutic feeding centers.
Immunisation is the foundation of healthy communities and children have to get the immunisation they need to live long and healthy lives. With support from our partners and philanthropies, Hope Charity Medicare is providing direct vaccination service delivery in our facilities, door to door at homes and designated immunisation outreach locations in the communities to make sure all children under 5 years of age have received their recommended vaccines in time.
Our Community health workers(CHWs)/Village health teams (VHTs) help raise awareness of vaccine campaigns, manage vaccination activities and address vaccine misinformation and mistrust stopping many people from immunizing their children. We have trained them to detect, report and monitor health events in their communities and also to conduct micro planning to identify priority groups and ensure no one is left behind
Every adolescent has the right to accurate information and services for their sexual and reproductive health. We improve access to age-appropriate SRH information and services for youths aged 10–24 years.
We partner with primary and secondary schools in Amolatar District to reach students and build the capacity of teachers to advocate for sexual and reproductive health rights.
We empower both school-going and non-school-going girls with knowledge and life skills to understand menstruation and manage it confidently through awareness sessions and community health education.
We also advocate for gender-responsive facilities and infrastructure in schools to support effective menstrual hygiene management.
We promote healthy lifestyles and improve community health by conducting outreaches in churches, schools, markets, and other public places. Our screenings include cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, BMI, cervical cancer, HIV, and TB symptom screening.
Our health education series covers diabetes, nutrition, physical exercise, smoking & alcohol cessation, HIV/AIDS, STDs, and other pressing health issues.
We provide integrated home-based and facility-based care for people living with HIV and TB, including symptom screening, referral, VCT testing, counseling, ARV treatment support, and elimination of mother-to-child transmission (EMTCT).
We also offer nutritional support, psycho-social counseling, and protection of basic human rights for affected individuals and families.
